This month’s spotlight features APM Steam Fossil Superintendent, Tommy Phillips! Tommy was led to this industry by applying for a welding job in 1996. He first learned about APM from his co-workers while working for another contractor in 2000. He worked his first job with APM in 2004, making this his 20th year working with APM! At work, there are many roles Tommy is determined to take on. He believes we are role models to those that are eager to learn and advance, we are mentors to many, we are listeners to all, we are the voice of reason, we are motivators, we are the bridge between our craft team, our GE Vernova team, our supporting contractors and the site personnel. Outside of work, Tommy is a parent, a husband, and a son. Meet APM Gas Power Superintendent, Lucas Coleman!

This month’s spotlight features APM Gas Power Superintendent, Lucas Coleman! Lucas was led to the industry through Welding School. The Millwrights were looking for welders and his teacher selected him and a couple others to take a weld test at the hall on a Friday. Lucas passed the test and started work on Monday! His Grandpa was a Union Millwright in Detroit for Ford and when Lucas asked his Dad what a millwright was, he would always say “a jack of all trades.” He began working with APM in 2016, totaling 7 years to date! This month’s spotlight features APM Job Specialist, Theresa Mazzarella! Theresa first learned about APM through a former employee and began working with APM in November of 2012. 11 years later, Theresa remains with the APM family as a Job Specialist covering the entire US Steam division and Industrial work. Outside of work, she is a wife of 32 years, mother of three and GiGi to two grandsons. This month’s spotlight features APM Technical Support Team Leader, Cindy Staton! Cindy joined in 2005 and has remained with APM for 18 years! She found this position in her job search on the Internet, the Houston Chronicle, and using dial up Internet! Her roles in APM have included Billing, Accounts Payable, Office Manager, and IT. Outside of work, Cindy is a parent, grandparent, and sports team mom.

This month’s spotlight features APM Canada Boiler Operations Division Leader, Travis Kreil! Travis started his career in the oil field in 1995 and was involved in every aspect of oil production including exploration, extraction, refining and shipping. He decided to explore career opportunities in industries outside of oil and knew Alstom was involved with Power Generation and Boiler industries.

Meet APM Principal Enterprise Architect, Kevin Fitzgerald!

This month’s spotlight features APM Principal Enterprise Architect, Kevin Fitzgerald! Kevin was introduced to this industry when he was hired to support systems for GE in Schenectady, NY and then moved to IT support for their Field Engineers. He also did timekeeping on a Nuclear outage and so was involved with sending in time for payroll and worked with EH Hinds, APM's regional office at that time, and APM folks in setting up the weekly time transmissions. Kevin kept in touch with their APM Systems Coordinator and was contacted when a position opened, leading him to join APM in October of 1997 where has remained for 25 years!
