Leadership Reflections... Yearend Reflections from Bruce and Dan
Success in this 2023 year will be greatly influenced by our overall collaboration. This is essential for us to achieve our goals and WIN. Below are reflections from our service leader to proceed in WINNING this year.
From Julie Doyle, Chief Service Officer:
One of our APM pillars gives focus to Collaboration – “We Win as One”: it is culture in action. I view collaboration as a word that can be frequently overused and not fully appreciated for the significance it carries in our organization: “the action of working together to create something”. Collaboration does not mean that we all think the same way, or even that we always agree. We all have a unique perspective to bring to the table. However, collaboration does mean that we collectively commit to the process of working together, sharing honest insights, coming to consensus, and owning actions to drive the intended outcomes. It is when “We Win as One” becomes reality.
Collaboration becomes extremely powerful when approached with purpose and intentionality. Exceptional teams commit to run standard plays with the intent to win. Practicing intentional collaboration, they stand a significantly better chance of achieving winning outcomes than those just showing up to the game. As a business, we will continue to face challenges and pressures, however we should recognize these as opportunities that give way to meaningful collaboration. APM leaders committed to 2023 deliverables with intentional collaboration.
As a final note of interest, we have a team collaborating on our collaboration model – what an example of intentionality! With continued consideration for work/life balance feedback, we are working together to improve our model for how teams interact daily to achieve smooth and steady work flow. January is now in the rear-view mirror, and we have accomplished much in the past five weeks. I am confident we will continue to create solutions that thrive from strong collaboration for our internal teams, our shareholder, and customers.
