We are incredibly proud to announce APM Boiler Canada as this year's recipient of the Tripartite Zero (Recordable) Injury Turnaround Award! This award is determined by the General Presidents’ Maintenance Committee for Canada (GPMC), and the National Maintenance Council for Canada (NMC). This is the first time APM has received this recognition.

APM Boiler Takes the Lead with Lean at NRG

A successful outage was completed at W.A. Parish in early June while navigating the perplexities of COVID-19. In collaboration with FieldCore and GE, our highly skilled APM Boiler team led by Mike Bush, sought ways to improve the experience for our customer. The driving factors in this large of a success were lean initiatives in productivity, cost savings, and the prioritization of health for all at NRG.

Shining Bright with Accountability

APM Specialty Services Canada is on a roll this Spring outage season after concluding a successful 11-month unit addition project in April 2020. In collaboration with Baker Hughes, APM provided a five-person team of millwrights, electrical, and instrumentation support for all major construction and commissioning activities during the installation of a MW30 compressor station at Turner Valley for TC Energy in Alberta, Canada

APM Specialty Services Canada Recognized by TC Energy for Their Commitment to Safety

We are extremely proud of our APM Specialty Services Canada team and their contribution to the success of the Saddle West Expansion project. In collaboration with Baker Hughes, APM brought the culture of teamwork and a strong performance of safety to TC Energy in Alberta, Canada. All contractors participating in the project held a high sense of accountability. This drew recognition in being selected for the CEO Safety Leadership Awards in 2019 under the team category for their inspiring sense of mutual success, and powerful performance in safety.

Typically, APM, FieldCore, and GE meet in person to set out a pre-planning process for an outage. Due to the current environment within COVID-19, multiple calls were made with APM Canada Director – Ben Jonas, Service Managers – Craig Mosier and Ben Storie, Lead EHS Representative – Rob Dunbar, and Superintendents – Derek Steele and Jeremy Johnson to discuss optimal work completion at Husky Energy in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan.
