After three years of service, he was asked to advance to the role of crane operator. After one outage as a crane operator, he was promoted to the keyman role. The team disassembled the generator and supporting components to investigate T-10 bearing and corrected the generator and exciter alignment.

The rounded project scope included replacing a Westinghouse turbine unit, the turbine’s auxiliary equipment, two ID fans, gear boxes, the turbine’s frame, and vetting equipment start up before entering full repower.

I expect 2021 will be a year we take great pride in our performance during challenging times. Yet 2021 is not over; we still have ~1400 craft teammates working ~60K hours on many jobsites (FW48), we are preparing to host multiple training events for both core teams and new superintendents, and we have many in the corporate offices working to “close the books” through the holiday season.
