APM Team, Our fall outage season has quickly ramped up. This past week we had ~2300 craft working ~132K hours on ~150 jobs. Now is when we need to leverage the Safety & Quality Leadership Training we did this summer to empower our crews to work safely and with quality. With that in mind, we asked John Collins, our Gas Ops Director, to share a brief message on his reflections from the Training.

APM Team, Thank YOU! once again for the engagement in our significant focuses this summer – the S&Q Leader Training, the EX Survey – as well as your continued job execution with SQDC excellence. Based on your EX Survey feedback, we continue to focus on strategies to help all of us balance the demands of our business model with our personal lives, particularly during heavy outage seasons. All of us feel this stress at times each outage season.

Last summer we came together and embraced the challenge to improve our Safety & Quality … and we did. A year later, we came together again to recognize that improvement, reflect on what we did well and still strive to improve further. Thank YOU! for the improvements made after last year’s challenges and the good engagement in the Safety & Quality Culture Summit last week.

Next week is important for our APM – it aligns us around the key focus for the upcoming outage season. We asked Dan Reinhardt, our COO, to share a brief message as a glimpse into next week.

The first half of the year is officially closed. Some reflections I have looking behind and ahead. Some 24H1 ##s that make me proud of what we accomplished together in the Spring: Volume: We executed over ~1200 jobs in the first half, equating to 2.6M+ hours worked. Engagement: We had 4,016 open reports, 1,414 hazard hunts, and 82 STOP events.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) What immediately jumps in your mind when you read or hear that phrase? Excitement: The future is now! … Fear: The machines will rule the world!  … Overwhelm: Where / How do I start?

It’s hard to believe we are about to close the first half of the year. Wow! I am proud of the work we have done this spring – we have made many improvements in Safety & Quality, and it shows in our Successful Outage Scores (SOS) and the many 5* Customer survey responses we have.

Rest. Reflect. Refocus. Three words that seem simple but require some strategy to be done well and deliver benefits. As we move from the spring outage season into summer, I encourage you all to consider how you will do these three things well.
