APM Fossil North Recognized at GE PGS North America Conference for Teamwork and Execution Excellence

When you need guaranteed execution, APM delivers. Our APM Fossil North Team was recently recognized at the PGS North America Conference for their teamwork and execution excellence for the Spring 2014 NRG Hunterstown Outages. Since the summer of 2013, this team had been meticulously planning for the execution of a first of its kind 7FB.01 to 7FB.04 AGP conversion on two units and a D-11 ST Major. The GT scopes included complete disassembly of the gas turbines with removal and replacement of the turbine shell, enhanced compressor package 4 upgrade, DLN 2.6 installation, MKVI to MKVIe replacement and a major inspection of the D-11 steam turbine with a generator field removal. This outage employed over 125 individuals with an estimated 92,000 man hours at completion. Our onsite leadership played a crucial role to the successful execution of this job. GE Service Manager, Kevin De Wan, commented, “The contributions from both the APM Superintendents and the Keymen were instrumental to our success... This team’s efforts and leadership are the main reasons this project was completed ahead of schedule with zero injuries or near misses!” We are extremely proud of this crew for embracing and advocating our commitment to Fulfillment 5 on this job.
