APM Canada Helps Raise Nearly $20,000 for Niagara Health Foundation

While on site to provide a 7FA major inspection, exhaust upgrade, and a generator swap for Thorold Cogeneration Station at Northland Power in Ontario Canada, APM Canada participated in an exciting joint activity to raise funds for charity along with keeping all craft and site workers engaged in Toolbox Talks and safety discussions. The first activity incentivized continual safety, and site teams contributed to a fund pot each day of the outage. The opportunity to give back to the local community sparked high participation amongst crews.

A second fundraising activity was established which doubled donation efforts, and roughly 55 contribution entries were made - totaling to nearly $20,000 in their donation fund at Thorold Cogeneration Station at Northland Power.

Northland Power selected Niagara Health Foundation to receive the collected donation to support their greatest needs. Every year, the foundation receives a list of most urgently needed medical equipment provided by Niagara Health, a total health care provider located in Canada.

The fundraising initiative fired up the craft teams and enhanced the overall safety focus. Everyone onsite experienced lifted spirits by being tied together for a great cause!

Congratulations to APM Canada, GE, FieldCore, and Thorold Cogeneration Station at Northland Power for brightening their outage with this noble action!
