A Well-Balanced Team!

APM Fossil North was recently in Wisconsin and finished a job for We Energies’ Oak Creek Power Plant.  The work scope included a major inspection on Unit 8 - a large steam turbine.  There was also extra work added for a valve outage on Unit 7 and the team supported a controls upgrade on the unit as well.  APM Superintendents Mike Somerset led the day shift, and Craig Hanson led the night shift.  There were a few issues beyond the control of our teams, and even though these issues delayed the outage by over a month, our leadership on site kept their teams focused on the tasks and completed the job with no safety or quality issues.  The customer was appreciative, admitting that the job was a little long and painful, but praised the team for sticking with it to the end performing tip-top, safe, quality work throughout the outage. Teams that work well together through trials and tribulations, are well balanced with no vibration or temperature issues. The customer was pleased with the same results for Unit 8 when it went back on-line.  Great job team, and congratulations for your hard work, persistence and patience.
