Performance Perfection

Congratulations to an APM Nuclear team who were rewarded for their outstanding performance at the Wolf Creek Nuclear Generating Station near Burlington, Kansas.  They were rewarded with the tastiest kind of award – PIZZA!  The team was recognized for their performance and quality of work by Wolf Creek personnel.  The FME Manager had nothing but praises about the team, claiming that often they hear about the bad jobs and rarely about the good behavior and quality of workmanship.  That is why he made a special trip to speak to the whole crew at a Safety Lunch voicing his appreciation and promising pizza.  The customer was very pleased and several of the plant's personnel voiced a strong desire for APM Nuclear to return to this site in the future.  The team of 24 millwrights were led by Superintendent, Jeff Calhoun.  This team have worked together for years and are a topnotch crew who have been groomed by Jeff to live a working culture sought by the industry. They are all unique and behave more like family with strong ethics and morals.  The team on the site were comprised of a General Foremen, Foremen, Journeymen and Crane Operators. The team worked on a variety of valve disassembly, inspection and repairs, reassembly (five valves total), performed a major inspection of a RTFP (reactor feed pump turbine), front standard, completed an overhaul, and cleaned and inspection of the main turbine lube oil reservoir. The project was completed with zero injuries, FME events, human performance errors or quality issues/rework. Congratulations again team!  We hope you enjoyed your pizza because you earned every slice!
