APM Good Neighbors,
The holiday season is upon us, so let’s spread the hope and cheer by giving back to those in need in our community! Join in on the giving spirit for the APM volunteer events in November and December!
We are partnering with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Houston Food Bank for exciting November opportunities. See below for more info!
The Woodlands Out of the Darkness Walk will raise awareness and funds around mental health and preventing suicide.
Date: Saturday, November 9th
Registration Starts: 9:00 am
Walk Start Time: 10:00 am
Event Venue: Town Green Park
The Houston Food Bank's mission is to provide food for better lives. Serve our Houston community by volunteering at the warehouse shift with the APM team!
Date: Friday, November 15th
Time: 8am – 12pm
Location: 535 Portwall, Houston, TX 77029
Once registered you will receive an email with QR Code. Please have this QR Code available upon arrival.
Shift Category Name: Portwall Morning - TEAM A
Description of Duties: Most of the projects at the warehouse involve inspecting, sorting, and repackaging of donated food items for community distribution.
Parking: If space permits it, you may park in the front parking lot, but in the event of a large volunteer turnout, you may be directed to our overflow lot located behind the building.
Attire: Dress with Safety in Mind
CLOSED-TOE SHOES REQUIRED
Casual dress
Long pants (preferred)
T-shirt with sleeves
Bring work gloves if desired
APM is partnering with BEAR: BE A Resource to host a Holiday Toy Drive! BEAR provides hope and help for at-risk and CPS-involved children and their caretakers in the greater Houston area.

Items will arrive directly to BEAR Office.
