He maintains adherence to APM’s policies, procedures, standards, and overall fulfillment excellence at a job site. We are very proud to highlight Henry and his valuable contributions toward our mission! Let’s get to know his work history, accomplishments, and some of his favorite past times.

Henry began working with APM in 1996 – he has contributed nearly 25 years of his expertise across numerous outages. Four years later, Henry advanced to a Superintendent-in-training position while progressing his experience with important work scopes in the nuclear and fossil markets.

What led Henry to this industry and APM?

Henry discovered his fascination with mechanical equipment when he was a young boy. Later, he pursued an apprenticeship through his local union hall. Henry had the opportunity to work on a 7FA gas turbine and an A10 steam turbine installation. After impressing APM with his skilled workmanship, he was asked to return as a key person (certified mechanic) when he completed his apprenticeship program.

What is Henry’s proudest moment with APM?

After shaping his expertise, leveraging his dedication toward safety, and his “always-learning” mentality, Henry became a Superintendent with APM around 2015. Advancing to this role is Henry’s proudest moment. Henry continues to deliver his skilled expertise while introducing unique ways to keep safety in focus on major projects across the nation.

His favorite project with APM was working on the U.S. Navy Zumwalt-Class Destroyer group. This project was completely different than traditional projects that involve working with turbines. Henry recalled a conversation with millwrights who planned to work alongside him on the project:

Some of the millwrights asked me, “Henry what are you getting us into?” I said, “we are about to find out.” When we started this project, none of us had seen any of this type of equipment. It reminded me of being an apprentice all over again.”

“My older brother, Mike, has always been by my side. Jeff Campanalle gave me my first shot, and he believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. Tom Bernier has helped along the way also. There are many people that have influenced me and helped me get to where I am today. So many people had a role in my success.”
