Reflections ... Living Our Purpose

Hello APM Team,

I am proud of you! Although we are faced with many challenges due to this pandemic, you are adapting to everything as a team. Whether in the field or at home, you are delivering with excellence. Thank you!

We still have many craft men and women (2500+) working many hours (almost 150k) on many jobs (over 200). We are executing this work safely, with quality, and with steady endurance. As we are a critical and essential business, we will continue to do so to “keep the lights on”. How will we do it?

Do your job well

Maintain daily focus on your role to deliver excellence, especially in safety and quality.

Use the chain of command

Elevate issues or concerns through your direct leadership; this helps us have a structured path of communication with a quick solution.

Lead yourself and your teams

The most important thing that you can do for yourself and our APM is to follow guidance on the APM One Stop Shop to stay safe and healthy.

The above three asks are no different than what we ask of you every outage season. When we do our jobs well, when we communicate, and when we lead, we win. And over the past few weeks our teams have been recognized by our customers for their excellence.

  • We (along with GE-FC-OSS) “crushed it” at Exelon LaSalle.

  • We (along with GE-FC-OSS) delivered ~350 coaching moments and great experience for our customer, TVA Brown’s Ferry.

  • We (along with GE Baker Hughes) helped our customer’s Saddle West project team win the TransCanada CEO Safety Leadership Award.

So, keep focus on doing what we know works. And remember our purpose – We empower people that power life. We are living that purpose now. Thank you for what you are doing for our APM and our neighbors.
