Leadership Reflections – Global EHS Day Observations

As we look back on Global EHS Day, I first say thank you to all who engaged – those who coordinated our activities, led presentations, visited jobsites, and especially our field teams who were recognized for specific behaviors that exemplify our safety culture.

In this video I share my primary reflection from my own observations. I believe our most impactful tool is our STA card and process. The STA enables us to implement the plays we developed and trained this summer, specifically “What How What How”. While all four questions are important, I especially encourage you to fully implement the first How question – “How will I (we) perform the task?” – and incorporate the task details (think steps, sequence, and standards) into our STA process.
