What’s one thing that surprised you about working with APM?

The acknowledgement that I get every day for my role.

What is a typical workday for you?

Helping users with Airtime via Teams, text, emails, phone calls, you name it!  Working closely with the Programmers for new release items, testing, and troubleshooting bugs.

What energizes you at work?

The ability to help solve an issue for a user of Airtime that is very frustrated. When someone tells me “You are the best, we could not do this without you.”

What do you find the most challenging in your role?

Keeping up with all the training materials and video tutorials. Airtime changes all the time and I find it almost impossible to continuously update materials that have already been completed.

What do you like most about working with APM?

My relationships with the Field and Corporate Personnel along with the Programmers.

How has APM helped you in your career development?

Wow, I have come a long way from being a Billing Clerk. I was encouraged to join the IT department. It never even crossed my mind, but it was one of the best decisions I ever made. IT taught me so many things in software, hardware, and IT classes. IT is what brought me to my current position, which I am very proud of.

What courses, certifications, or programs did you complete?

I have accounting courses, a lot of IT certificates, and several Microsoft Office programs.

What is your proudest moment with APM?

The first time I stood in front of a room of strangers to train them in Time Tracking. I never thought I could do that.

How do you prefer to spend your days off?

With my family. I have six grandchildren that I adore, and I insist on having family dinners every other Sunday which I host at my house.

How do you balance your career at APM and family?

It can be a challenge at times, but APM gives me the flexibility I need to not only take time off but to also take time off for my well-being.

What advice do you have for prospective APM candidates?

APM is not your usual company. They really do care about you, and you will quickly learn that you can exceed in your career.

What is a non-work-related accomplishment that you’re proud of?

Raising my son. I was a single mother, and it was both the hardest and best thing I ever accomplished. I also helped raise my Stepson, and they are both fathers of 3 children who have exceeded our expectations.
