Amid this ongoing pandemic, daily lives have been altered. The sudden change in the regular rhythm of school, work, and home life required many people to leave their typical roles as students or employees and take on new full-time responsibilities such as a caregiver, or teacher. Institutions that once provided a nutrient-rich hot meal were required to close, leaving families questioning where their next meal would be.
APM’s Good Neighbor Project partnered with the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce’s Operation: Stock the Shelves to ensure our neighborhood pantries stay stocked to help keep bellies full.
The week-long collection effort was a smashing success and our employees donated nearly $175 worth of food. As APM promised, we have matched the donations in full. Collectively, we have contributed close to $350 in food items!
APM along with the Pasadena Chamber were able replenish the pantry shelves of Sarah’s House and Sunset United Methodist, both located in Pasadena, Texas.
We are incredibly proud of our APM team that have taken the time to provide help to keep the neighbors in our community strong. You have made the effort to relieve and restore confidence in families. The discomfort of change in our sense of normalcy diminishes when we rise together.
We look forward to our continued partnership with the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce to provide aid to our local organizations!
More about Sarah’s House
Sarah’s House is a non-profit emergency women’s shelter that houses 25 women and children with a 30-day stay. After 30 days, the adults can apply for a working transition program which enables them to become financially literate, employed and independent. Sarah’s House’s goal is to provide necessities such as food, clothing, and housing to families in need. Learn more about Sarah’s House.

Sunset United Methodist Church is a community that lives the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They are home to the Sunset Food Bank to meet the needs of the Pasadena community.
