Leadership Reflections – Looking Behind and Ahead

The first half of the year is officially closed. Some reflections I have looking behind and ahead.

Some 24H1 ##s that make me proud of what we accomplished together in the Spring:

  • Volume: We executed over ~1200 jobs in the first half, equating to 2.6M+ hours worked.

  • Engagement: We had 4,016 open reports, 1,414 hazard hunts, and 82 STOP events.

  • Safety: We reduced our year over year spring injuries from 15 to 7, with ZERO life threatening or disabling injuries.

  • Quality: We reduced our year over year spring escapes from 10 to 9, with ZERO significant customer events.

  • Experience: We have 29 5* jobs in the spring (and its growing as more surveys are returned).

The ##s help us see our good performance; below are a couple customer comments that really tell the story.

Atura Power – Halton Hills

Safety focus of crews and site management was exceptional, site communications and response to issues was exceptional, site organization and housekeeping was exceptional, commitment and completion to timeline was excellent, pre-outage preparation was good, post outage equipment operating as expected.… The APM team on site was engaged and focused on delivering a quality outcome.

Florida Power & Light – Sanford

The 4A HGP was performed without any safety concerns. The crew was diligent in wearing the proper PPE for each task, especially tying off above 4'. The outage was completed with no quality issues, on time and under budget. … This score is based on the attention to detail each member showed. Like I previously stated, the safety and quality were spot on. For these reasons I would highly recommend to use GE for future outages.

We are now just 2 weeks away from our Safety & Quality Leadership Training @ the LDC.

Our data shows that those who choose to attend the S&Q Training lead safer jobs – they are 35% less likely to have an injury on a job. It’s important for us that you be here and engaged. Please make it a priority!

Finally, summer is also the time when we engage in more big picture, long term strategy development. In August we meet with our Board to discuss our charter and value. In September we meet with our Shareholder to evaluate our 2025 plan and investments.

A few data points that give me optimism about our future:

  • We execute ~30%+ of the GE Vernova One Field Services volume.

  • We work with 8 of the 12 GE Vernova businesses in 2023 & 2024. That’s ~3% of our volume.

  • We continue a few key relationships with external businesses (ex: Baker Hughes). Historically that’s 2% of our volume, and its expanding.

I look forward to seeing you in a couple weeks.
