APM Gas Services Rocks River Road with Safety and Quality Excellence Ahead of Schedule
Our APM Gas Services crew traveled from Las Vegas, Nevada to Vancouver, Washington to conduct a quick outage that entailed a routine combustion inspection at River Road Generating Station.
The annual inspection typically requires 10 shifts to execute the full work scope of the project. This year, the APM Gas Team’s streamlined work efforts drove the outage ahead of schedule and expedited the project by five days. Impactful safety discussions and strategies shared among the site teams helped to define and plan APM’s safety and quality goals.
Lead by APM Superintendent, Daniel Gomez, our crew reflected on the previous combustion inspections conducted by APM, and anticipated any potential obstacles for the outage. To ensure safety at the site, a scaffold was built around an exhaust case to reduce an imminent fall hazard by covering large holes and installing handrails. Our skilled team created flanges to perform an air test at the end of the inspection to carry out a safe startup of the unit.
APM Gas Services established a strong teamwork culture that resonated across the site teams at River Road and received recognition. “This kind of teamwork represents APM well and helps keep it the premier company in the industry,” praised FieldCore Field Engineer, Djamal Pullom.
Our full rock star crew, Tyrone Berrones, John Crawford, Garrett Denney, Brad Hoefke, Shawn Hudson, and Jorge Ramirez, worked efficiently and consistently revisited their common goal of safety and quality excellence.
Kudos to our APM Gas Services team and supportive site teams on your successful outage at River Road Generating station!
