APM Steam Delivers Safety, Success, and Satisfaction at Ticonderoga Mill

Unity is strength. When there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved.” – Mattie Stepanek

APM Steam Services continues to serve excellence in quality, with safety as their foundation on every job site. In collaboration with GE and FieldCore, APM successfully completed an outage consisting of a Minor Inspection and a generator field swap in May 2020.

The expert field team led by Chris Bacon and Michael Lindo executed the job within three weeks. The early finish resulted in valuable cost savings for International Paper at Ticonderoga Mill in New York.

The 18-person millwright team serviced the site and demobilized with ZERO recordables and ZERO first aids logged throughout the course of the outage.

The catalysts for this safety success? Mitchell Yerdon, Terri Jessop, Brandon Ryan, Eric Eggan, Greg Larochelle, Matt Dura, Michael Cronin, and Robert Hallowell are the eight Keymen who immensely benefitted Ticonderoga with their level of experience and reliability.

They are always the backbone of the job because you can lean on them to help with what you need, whether it’s helping keep everyone safe, or making sure the quality of work is getting done with the experience they carry, ” said Outage Staff Manager, Brett James.

The multi-year alliance with International Paper continues to develop as we raise the standards in delivering solutions smoothly and safely. International Paper was extremely satisfied by the outstanding level of performance at Ticonderoga Mill.

Safety is a priority at international Paper … We will not accept anything but a safe outage, and GE has delivered,” said a representative for International Paper.

Positive feedback is imperative to APM as we strive to create lasting relationships with our customer, so we can continue to be their #1 solutions provider for every need.

The FieldCore and APM teams once again exceeded the Mill’s expectations. I appreciate everyone’s efforts to deliver a safe and high-quality product to Ticonderoga,” said Senior Customer Service Manager, Samuel Merrill.

APM enjoyed working alongside knowledgeable partners within GE and FieldCore to accomplish their common goal at Ticonderoga Mill.
