Safety: The Heart of Every Job

Because we value our employees, we set the expectation that each team member will follow the guidelines in place to ensure that everyone returns home safe and sound. Safety is our first priority in every task, of every job, of every day. Recently, a crew from APM Fossil South completed a job in Tampa, FL for TECO Bayside, working on two, HGP 7FA.03 units simultaneously. They highlighted our company’s commitment to safety. The crew consisted of 48 Millwrights, led by Superintendents Kirk May and Reginald Tucker, and Foreman Anderson Nandoo. You know you’ve got it right when you hear feedback from others on site, that our team kept safety as the number one priority. These gentlemen not only kept safety in focus, they treated their crews as peers, were consistent in the coaching of safety precautions, encouraged a questioning environment, observed the two-minute rule, fortified housekeeping practices, and made themselves available for the crew’s questions. They delivered results with quality and efficiency while ensuring the safety of everyone present on the job. This professional behavior is a shining example of our Company’s culture and commitment to safety. The units were reported to be back on line and running well, and we have been invited to perform work in the future. What a success! We would like to extend a special thanks to Kirk, Reginald, and Anderson, as well as every crew member involved in this victory. Great work!
