ATTENTION: APM + APCom Disaster Recovery Plan Update - Tropical Storm Harvey

Sunday, August 27, 2017 4:30 PM CST

Attention All Employees:

The APM + APCom Disaster Recovery Plan remains in effect and our Pasadena Campus continues to be CLOSED.  Do not come to the Pasadena offices on Monday.  Our employees, their safety, and their families are our greatest concern.

Houston and surrounding areas are either almost or completely flooded, with additional significant rainfall anticipated.  We have a few employees with water in their homes, and/or vehicles that have been flooded, and some without electricity.  According to the Corporate security cameras, the campus appears to be okay externally.  The public is using the parking lot as a refuge while water is high, but most are leaving after the water recedes.  We urge you to remain sheltered in place and do not to try to get out on the roads as these storm cells continue to feed through the area.  There are fines being imposed for those traveling at high rates of speed through neighborhoods, causing wakes that can push more water into homes.  The water in the streets is not sanitary, not to mention there have been reports of alligators, snakes and floating mounds of fire ants in various areas.  Please check with your city and stay informed about drinking water safety.  If you have concerns or problems, please let your manager know.

Viceroy Employees are eligible for financial assistance through their GE benefits for damages received due to this storm.  Employee resources are available on https://onehr.ge.com, see Additional Benefits > Self & Family > Emergency & Family Aid.

Until further notice, all employees should plan to work remotely. If you are unable to work due to your status, please contact your manager, so we can coordinate the appropriate coverage. Again, yours and your families' safety are our greatest concern. If you have non-essential meetings and/or conference calls scheduled for tomorrow, please cancel those and reschedule later in the week or after the weather improves.

The Disaster Recovery Team will have another call tomorrow at 3:00 PM CST, and we will advise additional notifications.  Thank you for prayers. We very much appreciate them.  Stay safe!
