Inspiration in The Land of Lincoln

An APM Fossil North team recently completed a steam major inspection for the City of Springfield in Illinois, and received positive feedback from Frank Gutierrez, GE FrontLine Senior EHS & S Regional Manager (North PGS) Gas Turbine/ CC. Frank was pleased to see the APM crew work so well with the GE team. Collaboration is something Frank mentions several times in his Colab post:

“What inspires the GE-APM Team at City of Springfield, IL (CWLP) steam outage? The team is inspired by family, the job, and working with each other. Collaboration and camaraderie are important to the team, and the team shared that they like to learn new things about the work every day. This is a major inspection for the customers GE Lynn Unit that was having operating issues, then the outage work scope increased to a major.  The work areas are tight, and laydown space is at a premium.  The team and all the leadership are working closely with our customers to ensure that the work scope is done safely, and will quality results. The outage is being led by Eric Best, Roger Cantu, Dustin Kisner, Charlie Folld, and CSL Jason Dzunda.  The crews are ensuring that STAs are in full, detailed use, as well as sharing thoughts daily during tool box talks on the tasks as well as Commitment Based Safety (CBS).  Appreciate the efforts and diligence to keep safety FIRST, and ensure Quality work. No Harm.”

Great effort by all teams working together and learning from each other. These opportunities are very valuable for the entire organization to spread our vision of safety and quality.
