APM Fossil North Scores 10 Out of 10!

The dedication of an APM crew is unparalleled. Our APM Fossil North team recently completed a major inspection on the HP/IP (High Pressure/Intermediate Pressure) turbine and a hydrogen cooled generator major inspection at Entergy’s Rhode Island State Energy Center (RISE) in Johnston, Rhode Island.  The APM dayshift crew was led by APM Superintendent, Rich Hagar, along with Keven Matheson filling the key role of Foreman.  The nightshift crew was led by APM Superintendent, James Donovan, along with Jonathan Martel filling the nightshift Foreman spot.  The crew consisted of several Keymen and Apprentices, as well as LU1121 Millwrights out of Boston, and LU51 Pipefitters.  For their combined efforts, they received an outstanding review score of 10.  Dave London, RISE Outage Coordinator, expressed total satisfaction with the crew’s attention to safety and quality, work ethic and communication skills.

“The entire staff and labor were top notch. Although we understand that this is rare, and I would normally not give such a high rating because there are usually issues with personnel and the labor crew. That being said, I gave my expectations for safety, environmental issues and work ethic and never had to repeat myself again. In fact, your crew ensured that everyone coming up to the deck followed all safety policies. Communication was outstanding between crew engineers and ourselves. “Stop if unsure” was an action that was adhered to each and every shift. Rarely did we have to back step and correct something. Relaying information was about as current as could be. We never seemed to have to wait for an answer for very long.”

Erik Almlov, GE Senior Customer Service Manager echoed Mr. London’s sentiments by writing:

“Excellent job by everyone! A perfect 10!!!  My words can’t begin to describe the incredible job everyone did to execute this difficult, long and complex outage. Your dedication to safety, quality and customer CTQ’s made this outage an amazing success. Thanks for the long hours, working through holidays/weekends and your tireless dedication. An absolutely amazing outage!”

WOW! Exceptional performance team!  Everyone involved should be proud of this remarkable recognition for their performance. Thank you for your continued efforts to make the customers’ needs your number one priority.
